A driver has been taken to hospital after a tyre blew-out on his car in Folkestone early this morning.

The M20 coastbound exit slip road at junction 13 was closed after the crash at 5.40am.

Police and paramedics attended the incident which only involved the one car with one man suffering from suspected neck and shoulder injuries.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

A spokesman for Secamb said: "We dispatched a single responder vehicle and an ambulance crew who assessed and treated a man for suspected neck and shoulder injuries.

"Although not thought to be serious injuries, the patient was taken to William Harvey Hospital for further assessment."

Kent Highways said the road had reopened by 9am.
