Henry Bolton was hoping for a new station in life.
He didn't expect it to be St Pancras!
Just days after finishing second in this month's police and crime commissioner elections the Ukip candidate now has something to celebrate - the birth of his daughter in somewhat unusual circumstances.
His daughter was born at 5pm yesterday on a Southeastern High Speed train in St Pancras International station, two weeks early.
Mr Bolton, who lives in Folkestone, thanked station and Southeastern staff along with paramedics who were called to the station.
He said on Twitter mum and baby were doing "very well".
He later joked about the messages he had received about early arrivals on Southeastern in a reply to Matthew Scott, the man who beat him in the race to become Kent's commissioner.
Fellow election rival Tristan Osborne congratulated him on the news since he made the announcement on his Twitter account last night.
