Police appeal for witnesses after pensioner assaulted on Boxing Day

A pensioner was reportedly assaulted on Boxing Day as she walked her dog in a park.

The woman in her 60s was walking her dog between 6am and 7am in the park near Archer Road, in Folkestone.

She said a white, slim man, about 5ft 7, with a local accent, approached her and then assaulted her.

He is believed to have been wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and trousers or jeans.

Police said he was last seen running from the entrance of the park by Canterbury Road towards Black Bull Road.

Luckily the woman was able to get away and raise the alarm and was not injured.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area on Boxing Day morning is asked to contact Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/41043/15.
