Police appeal after elderly woman on mobility scooter dies after crash in Sandgate Road in Folkestone

Today police have confirmed a 94-year-old woman died after her mobility scooter collided with a 4x4.

Officers were called to Sandgate Road in Folkestone at 2.30pm on Friday, April 15 after a red Land Rover Freelander was involved in a crash with the scooter.

The woman's family has been informed.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, which took place near the junction with Manor Road, or the moments before the crash to come forward.
