Police called to disturbance outside McDonald's in Folkestone town centre

A number of police officers have been called to a disturbance near a town centre McDonald's.

In a video posted on Twitter this evening, the officers appear to be detaining someone outside Barclays bank, on the corner of Sandgate Road and West Terrace, Folkestone.

Two police cars can be seen parked up in the footage, with at least six officers at the scene.

A number of young people can be seen watching on.

Residents posting on Facebook said there are "police everywhere" in West Terrace, while another said: "Outside McDonald's is covered with police."

Kent Police have been approached for more information.
