Officers have located a 16-year-old girl reported missing on Monday.

She had been last seen in the Canterbury Road area of Hawkinge, near Folkestone at about 7.40pm yesterday (Monday).

Concerns for her welfare were raised after she failed to come home, but police now say the teen has been found safe.

A police spokesperson thanked all those who assisted in the search.
