Passengers are being forced to wait up to three hours for the Eurotunnel service at Folkestone after a double whammy of hold-ups.
An earlier power supply problem plus a separate incident in the terminal have led to the long wait for tunnel users.
There is no wait for check-in, but passengers are facing several hours of delays at the Channel Tunnel Terminal.
Freight is facing a two-and-a-half hour wait.
The Channel Tunnel is now open in both directions after the earlier power supply failure.
Eurotunnel tweeted that the issue was caused by problems on the national French network.
But, as delays built at around 7pm, the company reported the customer information screens had "frozen".
Teams worked to restore power from back-up systems in the UK, and the service resumed just before 6pm.
