Motorists are being warned to expect delays and to take diversions while major roadworks are carried out on a coastbound dual carriageway.

Highways England is scheduled to carry out repairs on the A20 coastbound between Folkestone and Dover.

Both lanes currently remain closed while the essential maintenance work is being done. The main works will be done overnight between 9pm and 6am, until Friday, July 28.

The route was expected to reopen at some point this morning but the closure has continued into this afternoon. Diversions are in place via the A260 and B2011.
