A motorist driving on an expired provisional licence for 37 years has had their car seized by police.
The driver, who is now expected to appear in court, was stopped in Black Bull Road in Folkestone after police pulled them over this morning.
Officers found the driver had no insurance and that their provisional driving licence had expired in 1979.
Kent Police's road policing unit said today it had seized the vehicle but it is not yet known if they have been arrested or charged with any driving offences.
The police have been asked for more information about the incident.
A police spokesman said: "The car was subject to a routine stop by officers and has been seized due to there being no insurance on the vehicle.
"The driver is due to be summonsed for the offences to appear at court."
The driver has not been charged but is due to receive a summons to court in the coming weeks, police confirmed.
