Owner Keaton Randall says it is a great opportunity for the business and he is excited to become a part of the family in Folkestone.

“Our reasoning for choosing the harbour arm is its boats,” he said.

“There is such a great diverse culture of selection of foods and arts, and it’s a great venue for the family to come down too it if you like watching sports.

“It really is a great day out from playing mini golf to trying foods from all over the world, watching films and sports on the big screen, or even going to the beachside sauna.”

Mr Randall has been a chef for 12 years and always wanted to own a food truck, hence his decision to launch The Saffa Bru two years ago.

“In such a short time we have grown quickly managing to open multiple sites including at Macknade food village in Faversham, the Black Griffin in Canterbury, Dreamland in Margate and Woolton Farm near Canterbury.

Folkestone Harbour Arm posted about the business which is set to join the location last week.

The post read: “We are thrilled to reveal that The Saffa Bru are set to open their first flagship restaurant at Folkestone Harbour as a part of our ongoing Harbourside development.

“The Saffa Bru will bring a wholly unique, brand new food offering to our site, adding authentic South African Braai (BBQ to us Brits) to our ever-growing list of flavoursome food offerings.”
