The A20 has reopened in both directions, a day after it was shut for emergency repairs.
The Roundhill Tunnel was closed due to CCTV columns which are deemed unsafe because of adverse weather conditions this week.
It affected the road between the M20 at Folkestone and the A260 Canterbury Road.
Strong gusts were hampering work to remove the masts yesterday, which are 14 metres high and weigh about four tonnes.
The tunnel reopened at around 5.30pm this afternoon, although one lane remains closed westbound for further repairs.
