Appeal is launched following altercation in Bayle Street, Folkestone

Two men have been arrested following an altercation in Folkestone which left two people in hospital.

Police were called following reports of a disturbance inside and then outside a property in Bayle Street at 2.45am yesterday (Wednesday).

Police are appealing for witnesses

Officers attended and two men were taken to hospital with head injuries and have since been discharged.

A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, who are both from the Folkestone area, were arrested in connection with the incident and have been bailed while enquiries continue.

An investigation is ongoing and officers are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist officers, to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/52420/21.
