A woman was rushed to hopsital this morning after she was pushed to the floor in an alley between Walton Manor Close and Downs Road, Folkestone

Two teenage boys have been arrested after a handbag was stolen from a woman in Folkestone on Wednesday morning.

The victim, a 65-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital following the incident for a cut to her head.

The alleged theft took place at around 10.10am in the alley way between Walton Manor Close and Downs Road.

It is believed that the woman was walking down the passageway when she was pushed to the floor and her purple handbag was taken.

She was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford to be treated for a cut to her head.

Following the incident, a 17-year-old from Dymchurch was arrested on suspicion of robbery at 10.30am in Downs Road.

Then at 1.05pm a 16-year-old from Folkestone was arrested at in Dover Road.

They have both been released on bail until Saturday, October 19.
