A Kent beach has been described as an "unreal place to visit" in a viral TikTok video - but not everyone is impressed.
Mermaid Beach in Folkestone has been showcased on the platform by user @samchowtravels who created a 16-second video.
The post has received more than 400,000 likes in just three days.
Described as "just 45 minutes away from London" - which many have commented is not quite accurate unless travelling by helicopter - the montage shows the sea, sands and colourful beach huts.
With some liking the video and commenting on how beautiful Mermaid Beach looks, others have said this is not the Folkestone they know.
Jolie, who lives in the town, wrote: "I live in Folkestone and it's not this nice."
Another user replied to her comment and said they were planning to visit the beach after seeing the TikTok.
"I'm from Brazil living in England. I was just planning to go there after this video but this comment changed my mind," they said.
Others who know Folkestone have said it does not look quite the same as the video.
"If anyone knows this beach it does not look like this," Izzy wrote.
"I can assure you it’s still beautiful and worth the trip..."
Aimme on the app also wrote: "Folkestone looks nothing like that."
But James Worrall wrote: "It is that nice in the summer, it's beautiful."
Another user wrote: "The videos are enhanced but I can assure you it’s still beautiful and worth the trip.
"It’s 54 minutes from St Pancras and about 25 to 30 minute walk from Folkestone Central. Worth it trust me!"
