Rogue traders warning issued to Folkestone residents after suspicious reports

A warning has been issued after a number of suspected rogue traders targeted homes in Folkestone.

Police are advising residents after tradesmen reportedly knocked on the doors of several properties and damaged one person's driveway.

The traders in question claimed to be from a driveway and patio resurfacing company and are reported to have used aggressive selling tactics.

The first incidents were reported to police earlier this month in the Coniston Road and Godwyn Road areas.

But the suspects are also believed to have returned to Godwyn Road in the morning of Monday, April 5 morning with a resident informing police that his driveway was damaged.

Officers have now issued crime prevention advice to help residents from falling victim to rogue traders including:
