An investigation is under way after two people were assaulted and threatened with a gun during an armed robbery in Folkestone.
Police are appealing for witnesses and have released two e-fits of suspects after a house was targeted in Beachborough Road on Saturday afternoon.
It is reported that they entered the property between 4pm and 5pm on December 12.
They demanded money from the victim and threatened them before stealing a pair of earrings, a Gucci wallet in a gift box and cash.
They then attacked the victim and a second person in the house.
A police spokesman said: "We have reason to believe a firearm may have been involved. It’s part of our initial enquiries. We are also looking to establish whether a knife was used by the offenders."
One of the suspects was carrying a red CEX drawstring bag which was used to carry away the stolen items.
He is described as wearing a dark flat cap at the time with pale olive skin. He had stubble and his cheek bones were visible.
The other is described as wearing a balaclava but when he removed it when leaving the scene he had short dark hair and thick stubble.
The spokesman added they are continuing to establish "the direction in which they escaped".
Neither of the victims were said to have suffered serious injuries or required hospital treatment, the spokesman confirmed.
