A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after skidding off his bike in the rain.

The accident happened on Harbour Way, near Folkestone seafront yesterday evening.

Police and paramedics were called at about 9.20pm, and the rider was taken to a nearby hospital.

It is believed the biker skidded off his vehicle on the wet road.

A police spokesman added: “We were called to a collision involving a motorbike in Harbour Way, Folkestone at 9.20pm yesterday.

“Officers attended along with the ambulance service and the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital.”
