AN 18-year-old woman has appeared in court over an alleged bomb hoax at the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone.

Maria Davies, of Thornley, County Durham, is charged with communicating false information, following a call on June 2.

Ms Davies, who is unemployed, was granted bail by magistrates at Folkestone and her case has been adjourned until Tuesday August 5.
