A silver BMW has been completely destroyed after a fire engulfed the vehicle in the early hours of this morning.

The car was parked outside the boarded-up White Lion pub in Cheriton Road, Folkestone, when the fire began at 4am.

A passer-by alerted the Folkestone fire crew who spent 40 minutes putting the flames out with a hose.

Watch manager Vic Thorogood said: "There are some investigations going on and we will look into it more today.

"It was very badly burnt by the fire."
