A high street was blocked after a car flipped in the middle of the road.

Pictures on social media show the vehicle on its side in Sandgate High Street, near Folkestone, this evening (January 9).

Police, paramedics, and the fire service were all at the scene.

Part of the road was also cordoned off.

Stagecoach bus company said its services were delayed and diverted due to the crash.

The 102/103 service was diverted via Hospital Hill and Military Road in both directions.

At 8.30pm Stagecoach posted on X that the road was reopened and services were returning to normal.
