A paraglider had to be winched to safety after an accident on a hill overlooking the Channel.
The emergency services were called to the hillside off Crete Road West, near Folkestone.
A Coastguard helicopter was scrambled to Cheriton Hill, near the Folkestone white horse, and the casualty was seen being winched onboard at about 5pm today (Wednesday).
A fire services spokesman said: "Emergency services worked together to rescue a paraglider who had crashed into bushes about 50 metres down a hillside near Hawkinge.
"Firefighters helped by making the area safe as the casualty was rescued by the Coastguard."
A spokesman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "Just before 3.40pm, Coastguard rescue teams from Folkestone and Langdon, the HM Coastguard Search and Rescue Helicopter from Lydd, the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended to an injured paraglider who was in woodland at Folkestone.
"The casualty was successfully extracted and recovered into the helicopter, before being taken to hospital for further treatment."
