Officers investigating the theft of an elderly woman's bank card have released images from CCTV footage of a suspect they want to question.
The incident happened at the Sandgate Road branch of Santander in Folkestone during the afternoon of Monday, September 2 while the victim was using the cash machine inside the branch.
Police believe a female suspect watched the victim while she entered her PIN.
She later noticed her card was missing but managed to cancel it before any cash was withdrawn.
The suspect is described as having tanned skin, long straight dark hair of average build and was wearing a black and grey horizontal striped t-shirt and jeans.
She was also carrying a dark handbag and a notepad or piece of paper.
These type of criminals are known as 'shoulder surfers' and stand very close to note down PIN numbers.
They then often distract victims and take the card without them even knowing.
Kent Police issued a reminder to take extra care when using a cash machine by covering your PIN with your other hand when you enter it and to be careful of people standing close by.
If anyone can identify her they are asked to contact PC Oliver Smith on 101 quoting reference ZY/26083/13.
