A Kent-based art organisation has come up with an egg-cellent way to keep people connected while in lock down.
As Covid-19 keeps people apart, the team from the East Cliff Creatives (ECC), based in Folkestone, have launched the Collaboreggs project for the second year with the hope of bringing a smile to people's faces.
Their challenge invites people to decorate an egg and share it online from the safety of their own house.
Anyone can take part - from children currently off school, to parents working from home to grandparents or anyone in self isolation.
Artist Angus Cameron said: "Creativity is a wonderful way of bringing people together.
"It’s good for the mind, for conversation and for spreading some joy around our communities, near and far."
To get involved, you will need to paint, draw, build, photograph, craft or decorate an egg in time for Easter.
The next step is sharing a picture of the creation on Instagram, using #collaboreggs2020, or by emailing it to the ECC team on collaboreggs@gmail.com.
Mr Cameron said: "Your egg can be in any form and you can create any design you like.
"You can go the traditional way and paint an egg or be more experimental.
"Draw an egg. Take a creative photo of an egg. Build your own egg from any materials you choose.
"You can craft an egg. You can bake an egg.
"You could try decoupage, project an image onto the egg surface (inside or out), or add arms and legs to create a character.
"Let your imagination fly. If you are vegan why not paint a wooden egg?"
All eggs need to be posted by Wednesday, April 15 after which the team will select winners.
Mr Cameron added: "We want to make this the biggest collection we can and see entries from as many different countries as possible.
"If you have family or friends abroad, tell them all about the challenge.
"There are no official prizes but each day of the challenge we will choose one entry and award it our official ‘Seal of Eggs-cellence’.
