This man is being hunted after a Cheriton shop worker was threatened with what is believed to have been a gun.
A raider targeted the One Stop store, in Cheriton Road, after pretending to buy something at the till.
But he verbally threatened the shop assistant and showed him what could have been a firearm.
The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money before heading towards Folkestone town centre.
Now detectives have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the raid on the convenience store.
It happened at about 9pm on Sunday, June 1, but details have only been released today.
The raider was wearing a black hooded jacket and black tracksuit trousers, with a white Adidas stripe down the leg.
He is described as clean-shaven, stocky and with a deep voice in a "local accent".
DC Jacqui Mennie said: "If you were a customer in the shop at around 9pm on Sunday June 1 and haven't already spoken to our officers, or you recognise this man, then please get in touch. This was most distressing for the staff."
Anyone with information is asked to phone DC Mennie on 01303 289406, quoting reference ZY/17813/14.
