A child is in hospital after being knocked down by a car.
The young pedestrian was injured after being struck by the vehicle yesterday evening in Folkestone.
Emergency services were called to Hill Road at about 5.10pm following the incident.
Police officers and paramedics were joined at the scene by the air ambulance.
After being examined at the scene, the victim – believed to be a boy – was taken to a London hospital for further treatment.
Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a collision between a car and pedestrian in Hill Road, Folkestone at 5.10pm on Tuesday.
“Officers attended along with the ambulance service and the pedestrian was taken to a London hospital.”
An ambulance service spokesman added: “I can confirm that we were called shortly after 5pm yesterday (31 October) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a child.
“Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance Service.
“The child was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken by road to hospital in London.”
