Police were called after a child was injured in a collision with a car.

They were alerted to the accident, at Black Bull Road, Folkestone, at 1.55pm today.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police were called to a collision in Black Bull Road involving a car and a child.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended.

"The child was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious. "

Police said that the driver had stopped after the impact.

The road is now clear.
