The missing teenage daughter of Folkestone's mayor has been found safe and well.

Police launched an appeal after Lia Sanger, who is 15, did not return home last night.

Her mother, Cllr Emily Arnold, said earlier said she was "worried sick", as temperatures plummeted to freezing overnight.

The teenager also reportedly did not show up to school this morning.

But it has since been confirmed she is safe and well.
