A crash involving a car and pedestrian has been causing traffic delays.

Both directions were blocked by the incident on the A260 in Swingfield near Folkestone.

Emergency services were understood to be at the scene near the garden centre along Canterbury Road.

Heavy traffic has been reported in the area but the road reopened shortly after 6pm.

A police spokesman said: “(We were) called at 5.35pm on Tuesday 14 November 2023, after a car collided with a pedestrian in Canterbury Road, Dover.

“Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service. A woman was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

“Police, the fire service and ambulance service have been asked for further information.”
