A reckless driver was caught driving at almost double the speed limit.
The motorists was pulled over after passing an unmarked police car on the M20 between Folkestone and Ashford.
The unmarked patrol car had been travelling along the London-bound carriageway between Junction 11 and Junction 10A this morning when the offending vehicle flew past.
The offending driver was clocked at just over 125mph by the time that officers pulled him over.
A police spokesman said that the driver "clearly didn't see our unmarked car – but regardless there is no excuse for this speed, especially given the cold weather."
Speeding offences of over 101mph on a motorway fall into Band C, the punishment for which ranges from six points on the driver's licence to between seven and 56 days disqualification.
Offending drivers may also face a fine of up to 175% of their weekly income up to a maximum of £2,500.
