A drug dealer was busted when police raided his Folkestone hotel room and found him holding a packet of cocaine.
Sean O'Flanagan has now been jailed after officers found the drugs - worth more than £5,000 - at the Hotel Burstin in the town's harbour area.
The 23-year-old from Harlsden in north west London was sentenced to two years and eight months at Canterbury Crown Court yesterday.
Police carried out a warrant at the hotel on February 3 following a tip off that led them to suspect drug dealing was being carried out from the hotel.
During a search of O'Flanagan's room they found him holding a wrap which was later identified as cocaine.
They also found more class A drugs in the room valued to be worth £5,180 along with money and a mobile phone.
He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of class B drugs.
O'Flanagan admitted the charges last week.
A second man in the room with him received a caution and fine for possession.
Det Con Jacqueline Mennie, the investigating officer, said she hoped the sentence would send a strong message that police "will not tolerate drug dealing in Kent".
She added: "This was great policing work by our officers, who carried out the warrant following information received.
"The supply of class A drugs is not a victimless crime as the lives of many people have been ruined by their addiction to harmful substances."
