Two drug dealers didn’t take the hint after being stopped by police officers in Folkestone.
Hours later – and after travelling to London to collect heroin and crack cocaine – the two were stopped again in the same Vauxhall Meriva.
This time Boyd Williams tried to run away – stashing the drugs in shrubbery before being caught.
Officers then arrested his pal Joshua Goldring-Wells as he sat in the car, which was parked in Westbrook Gardens.
And Canterbury Crown Court heard that when police then raided a flat being operate by the pair they discovered more drugs, scales and a mobile phone linked to dealing.
Now Williams, 25, of Albert Road, Hythe, and Goldring-Wells, 22 , of South London, have both been jailed for four years and four months after admitting five charges of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Prosecutor Kieran Brand told how the car had been stopped earlier in the day on June 6 after travelling to Folkestone from London and was suspected of being used in drug dealing.
When it was seen a second time in Westbrook Gardens, police decided to search the vehicle.
“It was at this point that Williams, who had been sitting in the front passenger seat, decided to make off.
“He was then seen discarding items in a shrubbery.
“Officers later retrieved two sausage-shaped wraps containing heroin and crack cocaine.
“Goldring-Wells, who was sitting in the back seat, was also arrested along with the driver, who was later released without charge.”
The prosecutor added that police seized more than 71 grams of the Class A drugs during the searches.
Williams had been released early from a three-year sentence for robbery after being the getaway driver for a gang that ambushed a petrol station boss in Hythe in July 2014.
The manager of Murco in Seabrook Road had been carrying two bags of cash, containing a total of almost £10,000.
Ben Irvine, for Williams said he became involved in drug dealing to support his own addiction, adding: “He wasn’t living a lavish lifestyle but funding his own habit by supplying others.”
Jailing the pair, Judge Adele Williams said: “It is plain that you had gone to London to fetch the drugs and you were operating from premises in Folkestone.”
Investigating officer Detective Constable Robert Goodban said: "I hope this sends out a clear message that our officers will work tirelessly to disrupt the supply of drugs into the county."
