Police release e-fit image of man connected to burglary after jewellery was stolen

The police have released an e-fit image of a man they believe can help them with their investigation into a house burglary.

Officers have today renewed their appeal for information after a house in Kingfisher Avenue in Hythe was targeted by a bogus caller on Tuesday, September 13 at 9.45am.

After tricking himself into the house, claiming he had knocked to check the water supply, the occupant reported a quantity of jewellery had been stolen when he had left.

The man is described as white, aged 35 to 50-years-old, 5ft 8, slim build with short brown hair.

He is reported to have been wearing a distinctive fluorescent yellow and green short-sleeved jacket that had TNT written in black, circled letters on the front.

He is also said to have been wearing ash-coloured three quarter length trousers.
