An early morning crash closed part of the M20 motorway this morning (Wednesday).

Kent Police were called at 5.53am to a collision involving two cars near junction 12 for Cheriton on the coastbound carriageway.

One car ended up on the hard shoulder while the other blocked the road across lanes two and three.

A Kent Police spokesman confirmed that no one was injured.

The road is now open again.
