Firefighters were called to a car alight on the M20 this afternoon.

The vehicle caught light and was parked on the hard shoulder of the motorway near junction 3 near Larkfield shortly before 3pm.

The inside lane was blocked while firefighters tackled the flames with a hose reel jet.

The crew left the scene and the damaged vehicle shortly before 3.30pm and the carriageway was re-opened.
