DETECTIVES investigating the fatal shooting of 24-year-old man at his home have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses.

The victim, Ben Chantler, died in hospital following the incident in Denmark Street, Folkestone, on Sunday, January 29.

Police would particularly like to speak to a man who was seen walking along Alexandra Street towards Denmark Street at around 11pm on that night.

The man is described as white and in his early 20s. He was wearing a baseball cap and a white or light coloured tracksuit.

Two men have been charged with murdering Mr Chantler. They are Stuart James Benson, 25, of Charles Crescent, Folksestone, and Antony John Parsons, 27, of Plain Road, Folkestone.

They appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday after being earlier remanded by magistrates in Folkestone.

They will return to court on April 24 when they are expected to enter pleas to the charge. Mr Justice Calvert-Smith remanded them in custody.
