A busy high street will remain closed for up to 10 days due to ongoing works, Kent County Council have said.
Sewer work on Sandgate High Street near Folkestone began on Monday and is scheduled to last until Friday May 1.
The road closure was originally planned to lift each evening at 6pm, with work starting at 9am the following day.
However, KCC Highways announced yesterday that due to the nature of the works the road would not reopen as planned.
As the government lockdown is still in place, this closure will not affect the large volume of drivers that it would before the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the closure is still likely to affect key workers, and anyone hoping to travel short distances for unavoidable work or shopping trips.
