A new craft beer taproom is set to become the largest restaurant at a popular seafront destination.
Brewing Brothers, which is based in Hastings, will expand with a new venue at the Harbour Arm in Folkestone which is expected to open later this month.
The business is to occupy a site made up of seven extra-large shipping containers, with a large outdoor deck for al fresco dining, and will offer diners pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.
A spokesman for the restaurant said: “We have been following the regeneration of Folkestone for some time, especially the harbour area.
“It’s really impressive what’s been achieved here so far and like Hastings, our home town, it’s a plucky seaside community with their sights set on a bright future.
“We’re really excited and very proud to become a part of that community.
“The food will be fresh, seasonal and mainly served from our bespoke wood-fired oven.
“It’s going to be an amazing spot to lift good beer, eat great food and listen to amazing tunes.”
Dishes will also include slow cooked lamb shoulder with charred artichokes, whole baked fish of the day, coppa with charred apricots and much more.
Paulo Kingston-Correia, general manager of Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Brewing Brothers to Folkestone Harbour.
“They are a young, dynamic and exciting business with a fantastic story to tell.
“Their introduction will bring a new character and flavour to Folkestone Harbour, and we look forward to working with them as we continue to reinvent the English seaside experience.”
The news of the new taproom on the beach side of the development comes after details of the first two restaurants to open at a harbourside section of the site were announced.
Portenio and Sailbox are just the latest food-and-drink ventures to be added this year ahead of the busy summer season.
