Firefighters were called to a burning bus and chimney fire in the space of 15 minutes last night.
Crews from Folkestone were first called to a bus on fire in Hythe at 7.55pm.
The brakes had overheated and caught fire but firefighters were able to control the fire in Seabrook Road after the driver used dry power to take the heat out.
No injuries were reported.
While the full-time crew were at the bus fire, Folkestone station's part-time crew were called to a fire inside a chimney stack in Folkestone at 8.10pm.
They were joined by an extended height vehicle from Ashford following the incident in Cherry Garden Avenue.
A spokesman for Folkestone fire station said: "They came to remove the chimney because it was unsafe.
"We've got a clean sweep initiative where you can get regular updates to remind people when to get it done."
