A terrified woman fears her attacker will kill her when he walks free from prison.
Spurned Jayden Prus, of Dover, lashed out and terrorised his victim after she attempted to end their relationship.
Details of the torment she suffered at the 24-year-old's hands were recently laid out at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court, where Prus – who is behind bars awaiting sentencing – pleaded guilty to his actions.
Explaining how his victim lives in fear, prosecutor Debbie Jones explained: "Even when he is remanded she is still constantly scared and can’t get him out of her head.
“She is scared when she goes out and now has her shopping delivered, and if she is out and hears a male voice, she’s scared again.
“Her appetite and mental health have got worse and she thinks he will kill her when he gets out of prison.
"She’s in constant fear.”
The court heard Prus twice physically assaulted his former partner of six months earlier this year when she decided to end their relationship.
The breakdown prompted Prus to bombard her with vile and derogatory messages, the prosecutor explained.
And following his arrest, he urinated on a cell floor and racially abused an arresting police officer.
The court heard the pair got together in August last year but the relationship had soured by February, with the woman telling Prus it was over.
But they remained together until Prus assaulted her in March, prompting the woman to walk away, the court heard.
Yet Prus, whose victim was not injured in the assaults, continued to terrorise her with nasty and threatening messages, calling her derogatory names until she reported him to the police in June.
When officers arrested Prus the next day, on June 8, he became aggressive, racially abusive, and spat in the police van while handcuffed.
After being taken to Canterbury Police Station in Old Dover Road he urinated on the cell floor, the court was told.
The officer in the case gave a victim impact statement to say he felt it was not acceptable to be racially abused while at work and the names he was called were the worst in his three years with Kent Police.
Prus, of Prospect Place, Dover, was later charged with sending offensive and menacing messages, two counts of assault by beating, assault on an emergency worker, two counts of threatening behaviour, two counts of criminal damage and racially aggravated harassment.
He pleaded guilty to the offences at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on June 9 and a pre-sentencing report was ordered.
However, on August 1 magistrates told Prus at the same court his case will be sent to Canterbury Crown Court, where judges have more sentencing powers.
Ms Jones told the court Prus had committed previous crimes but was not heavily convicted.
He was on a community order after assaulting an emergency worker during his latest offences, the prosecutor said.
The court also heard Prus, who has been on remand for the offences since he admitted his guilt, is autistic and had been doing good work in prison.
Magistrates decided to send the case to Canterbury Crown Court for Prus to be sentenced at a date yet to be set.
He was remanded in custody.
