Appeal after car and bin lorry crash in Tile Kiln Lane, Cheriton, Folkestone

Witnesses are being sought following a crash between a car and bin lorry, which left two people in hospital.

The collision happened yesterday (Thursday) morning in Tile Kiln Lane, Cheriton, Folkestone at 6.35am.

Three vehicles were involved in the smash - a silver Fiat, a white bin lorry and a parked grey Peugeot.

Police, Kent Fire and Rescue and ambulance service all attended the road, where a cordon was set up.

One man had to be rescued from a car, and two men were taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

Now, investigators are appealing for information into the crash and would like anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or who has dashcam footage of the vehicles involved in the moments before the collision, to contact them."
