The teenager accused of helping Ben Blakeley bury the body of his pregnant ex-girlfriend has been named as his younger brother Jake.
Jake Blakeley, 17, has admitted he helped his brother dig two shallow 'graves', one in a field near where Jayden Parkinson was strangled and another in their uncle’s grave at All Saints’ churchyard in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
He denied preventing her lawful burial but has admitted perverting the course of justice.
Ben Blakeley, 22, of Christchurch Road, Reading, admits killing Jayden, formerly of Folkestone, but denies her murder.
His younger brother told Oxford Crown Court that Blakeley said they were burying weapons in the field and the bodies of a cat and a dog in the graveyard three days later.
But the prosecution has argued that both times Jake Blakeley knew they were burying Jayden’s body.
Jayden was last seen alive with Ben Blakeley on the afternoon of December 3 last year in Didcot, Oxfordshire having met to discuss her pregnancy.
When she had broken the news to him a day earlier he had become angry and denied he was the father, the court was told.
On December 19 her body was recovered from the grave of the Blakeleys' uncle.
A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as pressure to the neck.
Following the post-mortem Jayden's body was brought back to Kent where she was buried at St Martin's Church, Cheriton.
