Two new drive-thru restaurants are set to open their doors for the first time this month.
McDonald’s and Costa are the latest brands to join the Stop 24 services off the M20 near Folkestone.
They are being built as part of a £2 million expansion scheme to upgrade the site.
The McDonald’s restaurant will be open 24 hours and will be the fourth branch within 10 miles.
Plans for the fast food restaurant, which will create about 100 new jobs, were approved by Folkestone and Hythe District Council in October.
At the time, service station bosses claimed the development would help prevent crashes on the M20, one of Kent’s busiest motorways.
Stop 24 owners Channel Ports stated an all-night fast food restaurant will “encourage drivers to take regular breaks” and “reduce potential risks for accidents”.
Now, construction is almost complete of the extension and a spokesman for McDonald’s confirmed it will open in “late January” bringing the district’s total number of branches of the chain to four.
The other three can be found at Park Farm Industrial Estate, next to Tesco in Cheriton High Street and in Folkestone town centre.
None of the existing restaurants at Stop 24, such as Subway and KFC, currently open around the clock.
A sign at the site also reveals the Costa will open later this month.
The services see footfall from truckers and holidaymakers en route to Port of Dover and Channel Tunnel in Folkestone.
The £2 million overhaul has included the extension as well as the installation of new EV chargers and parking spaces.
Nearby in Dover, controversial plans for another new McDonald’s drive-thru near the Port of Dover have been approved - despite fears the fast-food chain "will look like it's sponsoring England" as visitors arrive in the country.
The restaurant will be built on the corner of A20 Townwall Street and Woolcomber Street, next to the ruins of St James’ Church, and create 120 jobs, according to the fast-food chain’s bosses.
