A man and a woman have been taken to hospital following a nasty crash between a car and a taxi.
The A260 Canterbury Road in Densole was closed in both directions this afternoon with police and the ambulance service scrambling to the scene at 2.30pm.
The road has since re-opened.
Paramedics treated two patients - one from each vehicle - at the scene at the junction with Coach Road near the Black Horse pub.
The collision was between a grey Mercedes estate and a white Toyota Avensis taxi.
The woman in the Mercedes had to be cut free from the vehicle by firefighters.
No other passengers were involved in the crash, police said.
Ambulance service spokesman Gerda Murdoch said: "We dispatched a number of vehicles and an ambulance car.
"A 55-year-old man suffered cuts to the head and a 53-year-old woman sustained leg and arm fractures.
"They were both taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further treatment."
A police spokesman said: "Both cars have now been recovered and Kent Highways have been called to manage a fuel spillage. The road is expected to have re-opened by 5.30pm."
