A 31-year-old German man appeared before a court on Saturday charged under the prevention of terrorism act after he was found wandering on a road at the Channel tunnel site in Folkestone on Friday night.

Dominik Revmann appeared at Canterbury Magistrates' Court. He was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear before Folkestone magistrates next on Thursday.
