A man accused of raping a woman after meeting her in a bar has been jailed for five years.
Daniel Arber of Morehall Avenue in Folkestone was acquitted of seven of eight offences.
Today, a jury at Canterbury Crown Court found him guilty of assault by penetration and was sentenced to five years behind bars.
Arber had admitted having sex with the woman but denied taking advantage of her.
He had told the court that she was 'sleepy' and 'staggery' after they had had sex in bushes.
A taxi driver alerted police after he saw Arber dragging the woman through Folkestone "like a rag doll" in October 2016.
When giving evidence, the woman said she remembered being near the Office Bar but could remember nothing until she was woken up after being taken home by police.
Investigating officer sergeant Chris Bull said: "Arber and his victim knew each other and instead of ensuring she got home safely he took advantage of her whilst she was vulnerable.
"He did this for his own gratification and then went on to deny the charges.
"Arber clearly poses a danger to women and thankfully he’s been jailed."
