Man charged with escaping from lawful custody at Folkestone Magistrates' Court

A man who has been charged with escaping lawful custody is set to appear in court.

Police were called to reports of a man who had left Folkestone Magistrates’ Court at around 5pm last Thursday (February 2).

Following inquiries, officers found and arrested the man.

Kaine Trotman was charged the following day with escaping from lawful custody, criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.

The 35-year-old with no fixed address, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday where he was remanded in custody.

The case will next be heard on Monday, March 6 in Canterbury Crown Court.
