Churchill Avenue crash: Man cut free from car by fire brigade in Folkestone

Two men who had to be cut free from the wreckage of a car after a late night crash in Folkestone have been arrested.

The fire brigade and ambulance service were called shortly after 3.30am to the A259 Churchill Avenue.

One man suffered serious leg injuries, and fire crews said it took several hours to remove him safely from the vehicle. He remains in hospital in London.

A passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.

It followed an earlier incident on the same night where two women were hit by a car in the Tram Road car park in Folkestone town centre.

The police have appealed for witnesses.
