A man has been left in a serious condition after being assaulted in a pub.
The victim, in his 60s, was reportedly attacked by a woman known to him in the Black Horse Inn in Densole, near Folkestone.
After being attacked on the evening of December 29, the victim was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, where he remains in a serious condition.
A 46-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of assault on Monday and has been released on bail until January 31.
Officers are investigating the attack, which reportedly took place between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed it.
They are also looking to speak to anyone who drove along the A260 Canterbury Road, Nursery Lane, Minter Avenue and Pay Street areas of the village between 4pm Wednesday December 29 and Monday 3 January 3, and has dashcam footage that may assist enquiries.
