A man has been arrested after being seen holding a makeshift spear during a disturbance in a residential street.
Officers were called to Marshall Street in Folkestone after reports that three men were involved in an altercation.
During the incident on Saturday, May 27, just before 7pm, one man was seen holding an object described as “a pole with a bladed object attached to the end”.
Police attended the scene following inquiries in the area and a 36-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was released on bail until August 21 while the investigation continues.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to assist with the investigation. Police are also keen to speak to the other two men to establish the circumstances of the incident
