FISHERMEN found a body in the Channel near Folkestone harbour 12.30pm Saturday.

It is believed they pulled the body out of the sea in their fishing nets. They took it to shore and contacted police.

The body is thought to be that of a 29-year-old black man.

Jon Green, a spokesman for Folkestone police, said: "We are treating this death as suspicious. We are investigating."

A post mortem will be held.
